Deputy national police chief Rungroj Saengkhram has been appointed as acting secretary-general of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo). Pol Gen Rungroj's nomination was also approved in the cabinet meeting last Thursday. However, the order stipulates that Pol Gen Rungroj's term will be valid for just six months. The order gave no reason for the transfer of Pol Maj Gen Romsit, who was in the position for only six weeks. Pol Gen Rungroj will still serve as deputy commissioner general of the Royal Thai Police.
